Guitar Center
Making Music, Making Magic
When we met with 17-year-old Becca, the teen evaluated several possibilities before settling on an acoustic guitar.
Knowing Becca's one special wish, we turned to friends at Guitar Center , the nation's largest musical instrument retailer , for their help and expertise. Guitar Center in Oxnard hosted Becca for a day to help her find the guitar of her dreams and provided a representative to exclusively assist her with her selection.
During an emotional surprise party, Becca received a Taylor Guitar and an amplifier, complete with several accessories, including a case, a mic, a tuner, a tripod, straps, picks and strings. Guitar Center donated $5,000 worth of equipment.
John MacFadyen , a spokesperson with Guitar Center, said, "Being able to help Make-A-Wish Foundation bring hope, strength and joy to local children is truly an honor for all of us at Guitar Center. We are excited to be part of Becca's wish and we hope our combined efforts will have an impact on the healing process of these special children and their families. "
