Princess Bella Becomes a TV Star

Bella being prepared

As part of the Walt Disney Company's "Year of a Million Dreams," Bella and four other Wish Kids from around the country were selected to celebrate their pixie-dusted "princess" wishes during the parade. Joined by her dad, her mother Ceyonne, and 4-year-old brother William, she and the other girls were treated with a special VIP tour of the park, including special access to favorite rides.

The day was a well-deserved vacation for this young lady who has had a long and arduous journey. At the tender age of 18 months, Bella was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), a cancer of the blood. She has bravely faced chemotherapy, radiation, a bone marrow transplant with a 53-day hospital stay, many emergency helicopter and ambulance rides, all-night dialysis treatments and a kidney transplant from her donor dad--her real life saving prince. When asked to compare herself to the Disney princesses, Bella claims, "I'm just like them: brave and strong."

This wish was also quite special for the Snyder Family, who adopted her wish through the chapter's Adopt-A-Wish(R) program. "Our motivation was to come together as a family to help a child in need and to encourage our children to develop an awareness of the challenges that other families face," explained Karen Snyder. "Our kids even helped put together "travel kits" for Bella and her little brother, plus made posters for her wish party."

Now Bella has lots of real princess stories of her own--from starring on national television, to a special kiss from Aladdin himself! "It was great seeing Bella's joy," raves her mother, "She was so excited she was shaking."
